Bears Vs. Packers: Donald Driver Could Play Key Role If Greg Jennings Can't Go

Stay connected for news and updates

Wide receiver Donald Driver is ready to step into the Green Bay Packers' rotation of receivers is Greg Jennings is unable to play in Thursday night's game against the Chicago Bears, according to ESPN Chicago.

Jennings is listed as doubtful for the game with a groin injury, but he is still hoping to play. If he doesn't, Driver would be eager to get on the field, as he seemed a bit disheartened with the lack of playing time he received in the Packers' Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

"I didn't go into that game thinking I wasn't going to play," Driver said, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette. "The way it came out, I didn't. It sucks, but that's the way it goes."

Driver saw the field for only three plays in the opener, and didn't accumulate any stats. However, he was a factor for Green Bay a year ago, catching 37 passes for 445 yards and six touchdowns.
