Hardin_medium
Chicago Bears safety Brandon Hardin suffered an apparent neck injury in the third quarter of Chicago's preseason game against the Washington Redskins. He remained on the field for several minutes while being attended to by Chicago's medical staff before leaving the game on a stretcher. He gave the crowd a thumbs up when he was carried off, a positive sign while onlookers await more information on the severity of the injury.

Hardin was hurt while attempting to tackle Washington tight end Logan Paulsen. He lowered his helmet on the play and appeared to hit Paulsen's midsection, knocking him backwards.

Hardin is a rookie third round pick from Oregon State. The Bears had a 27-10 lead over the Redskins at the time of Hardin's injury.
