Brian Price Trade: Bears Give Up 2013 7th Round Pick For Buccaneers DT

Stay connected for news and updates

The Chicago Bears are giving up a 2013 7th round pick in exchange for Tampa Bays defensive tackle Brian Price, as Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Price, a 2010 second round pick out of UCLA, gives the Bears added depth on the defensive line.

According to Schefter, Price was "involved in a fracas" with Tampa Bay first round pick Mark Barron during the team's offseason program, and the team also had concerns about his health given a hamstring issue. The Bears are content to take a shot on him, though, given the relatively low cost.

Over 15 games with Tampa Bay last season, including 14 starts, the 23-year-old Price recorded 24 tackles and three sacks.
