Bears Free Agency 2012: LB Rocky McIntosh To Visit Chicago

After re-signing Lance Briggs, the Chicago Bears' three first team linebacker slots are now filled, with Briggs joining Brian Urlacher and Nick Roach. But the depth after that is thin, with the back ups a mixture of cast-offs from other teams and low round draft picks. With that likely in mind, the Bears have set up a visit with veteran inside/outside linebacker Rocky McIntosh, who according to Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago, is scheduled to meet with the Bears sometime this week.

McIntosh has spent his entire six-year career with the Washington Redskins, amassing 471 tackles and eight sacks. McIntosh lost his starting job last season, but his versatility and experience would make him a valuable back up. McIntosh, who was a standout for the Miami Hurricanes, has also reportedly visited the Miami Dolphins this offseason.
