Gabe Carimi Injury: Bears Tackle To Be Ready For Offseason

As the Chicago Bears prepare for the 2012 NFL Draft, head coach Lovie Smith revealed some good news about the team's 2011 first round pick. In a breakfast with the press on Wednesday morning, Smith revealed that offensive tackle Gabe Carimi will be healthy and ready to participate in offseason activities.

Carimi missed most of his rookie season with a partially dislocated kneecap that eventually required two surgeries. According to Smith, Carimi is slated to start the season as the team's right tackle, but he did acknowledge that Carimi could play the left side if the Bears decide to replace left tackle J'Marcus Webb, who was one of the league's worst tackles last season.
