The Chicago Bears are reportedly interested in free agent DE Kamerion Wimbley, according to Vuaghn McClure of The Chicago Tribune:
The Bears are expected to look into Kamerion Wimbley now that he's been released. But money will be the issue, as with Mario Williams.

The Bears continue to shore up their team in preparation of a hopeful Super Bowl run in 2012, having already re-signed DE Israel Idonije, traded for WR Brandon Marshall and signed QB Jason Campbell and special teams standout WR Eric Weems. The team finished the 2011 NFL season with an 8-8 record.
Wimbley, who turns 29 this season, has starter 15 or more games in each of his 6 NFL seasons. The FSU alum boasts 42.5 career sacks, and has averaged over 7 sacks and 1 forced fumble per season. He has played a 3-4 outside linebacker thus far in his career, but the Bears may look to convert him into a defensive end.
