2012 NFL Free Agency: Bears To Host Chicago Native Kelvin Hayden

Stay connected for news and updates

The Chicago Bears fielded one of the better secondaries in the NFL last season, but you can never have enough depth in football. Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times reported this morning that the Bears will host cornerback, and Chicago native, Kelvin Hayden today in Chicago. Hayden was with the Atlanta Falcons last season, where he played in eight games and intercepted two passes, and was with Indianapolis Colts for six seasons before that.

Hayden attended Hubbard High in Chicago and started his college career at Joliet Junior College before transferring to become a part of the Illinois Fighting Illini. After leaving Champaign, Hayden was drafted in the second round by the Colts. Bears fans may remember Hayden from Super Bowl XLI, where he returned a interception for a touchdown as the Colts defeated the Bears.
