In Sunday's 41-3 victory over the Jaguars, two Bears defenders set an NFL record as both snagged interceptions and returned them for scores for a second straight week.

A pair of Chicago Bears defenders made NFL history in Sunday's 41-3 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. For the second week in a row, defensive back Charles Tillman and linebacker Lance Briggs returned interceptions for touchdowns, a feat never accomplished before by two teammates, Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

Tillman's second interception of the season was returned 31 yards to the house and helped the Bears take a 13-3 lead with 5:04 left in the third quarter. Meanwhile, Briggs produced a 36-yard score when he picked off a pass and ran it into the end zone. That play came with 7:54 to play in the game and helped push the Bears' advantage to 34-3.

Last week, in a 34-18 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, Tillman returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown while Briggs had an impressive 74-yard return for a score.

The pair of interceptions by Tillman helped push his career total to 23, and place him in a tie with Donnell Wollford for most all-time by a Bears cornerback.

"It's cool, it's an honor," Tillman said to the Chicago media after the game. "The Bears go back 200 years. They are so old, (you think about) all the great players who have come here and what they've done. Yeah, man, to be that guy, it's an honor to represent this organization with that."

Next week, the Bears host division rival, the Detroit Lions, in a Monday Night Football showdown (8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN).
