The Bears' cornerback's fourth quarter interception return for a touchdown set an NFL record for pick-sixes through the first seven games of an NFL season.
Chicago Bears cornerback Tim Jennings' pick-six in the fourth quarter of the Bears 23-22 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday landed the team in the NFL record books, according to ESPN.
Jennings' 25-yard interception return for a touchdown was Chicago's sixth pick-six of the season, the most-ever by a team through its first seven games of a season. The interception was the seven-year veteran's second of the game and sixth on the 2012 season, a career-high.
Chicago's six touchdowns are a Bears' single-season record, and puts them just three touchdowns away from the NFL record for pick-sixes in a season set by the San Diego Chargers in 1961. The Bears have tallied 11 interceptions on the season, the best in the NFL.
The Bears (6-1) head to Tennessee to take on the Titans (3-5) at LP Field in Week 9. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on FOX.
