Jay Cutler and the Bears will be more than a touchdown favorite over the Carolina Panthers in Week 8.
The Chicago Bears will enter Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers as 9-point favorites, according to Oddshark.com. That line is currently the largest in the NFL in Week 8, and at the very least speaks to Vegas' confidence in Jay Cutler's ability to shake off the effects of Ndamukong Suh's brutal hit on Monday night.
The line originally opened at 7.5 but has since moved even further in Chicago's direction. The over/under for the game has been set at 43, a relatively low number, but one that puts faith in the Bears' offense to rack up points if its defense shuts down Carolina's disappointing offense.
The Bears enter the game with a 5-1 record on the season, and they've been good for Vegas, as well, going 4-1-1 against the spread on the season. Carolina, meanwhile, is 1-5 on the season but 2-4 against the spread.
Sunday's game kicks off at 12 p.m. CT in Chicago, and will be broadcast on FOX.
