The dangerous Devin Hester returned to practice Friday, albeit in a limited role, as the Bears prep for the Lions on Monday night.

The Chicago Bears saw wide receiver/kick returner Devin Hester return to the practice field on a limited basis on Friday, according to a report by Chicago Tribune beat writer Vaughn McClure via Twitter, as the team prepares for its Monday night showdown against their division rivals the Detroit Lions.

Linebacker Blake Costanzo, who was out after thumb surgery, and cornerback Sherrick McManis, who had an injured hip, were also both limited in their returns to practice Friday, according to McClure.

Additionally, McClure noted on Twitter that wide receiver Earl Bennett was out of practice sick today, while defensive stalwarts Brian Urlacher and Julius Peppers rested on Friday.

Hester, who has been hampered with a quadriceps injury, is listed as questionable for Monday night's prime time game against the Lions. Through five games, he has seven receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown.

While Hester has yet to score on special teams, he has gained 86 yards in punt returns and 269 yards on kickoffs this season.
