Bears WR/KR Devin Hester sat out Thursday's practice, but is expected to play on Monday against the Lions.

Chicago Bears wide receiver and return specialist Devin Hester did not practice on Thursday due to a strained quad, but he is expected to play in Monday night's game against the Detroit Lions, according to CSN Chicago's John Mullin.

Hester was joined on the sidelines by wideout Alshon Jeffery, linebacker Blake Costanzo and punter Adam Podlesh. Jeffery will be out for a few more weeks with a broken hand, while Costanzo is recovering from thumb surgery, but says he will be on the field on Monday. Podlesh's absence was not injury-related. Cornerback Sherrick McManis (hip) was a limited participant in practice, while linebacker Brian Urlacher (knee) and defensive end Julius Peppers (foot) participated fully.

The Lions had some players missing from their Thursday practice as well, although defensive tackle Corey Williams was back on the field after missing three weeks while recovering from knee surgery. Safety Louis Delmas (knee), defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch (non-injury), and cornerbacks Bill Bentley (shoulder) and Jacob Lacey (concussion) did not participate.

The Bears and Lions will kickoff Monday's contest at 7:30 p.m. CT from Soldier Field in Chicago. The game will be televised on ESPN.
