Chicago Bears Coaching Search: Tampa Bay QB Coach Alex Van Pelt Expected To Interview For Passing Game Coordinator Position, According To Report

According to a report from CSN Chicago's John Mullin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt is "under strong consideration" for the passing game coordinator position with the Bears and is expected to interview with Chicago.

Van Pelt would be the second member of the Tampa Bay coaching staff to interview for the job, as the Bears are reportedly planning on interviewing Bucs offensive coordinator Greg Olson this week.

Van Pelt spent nine years as a reserve quarterback for the Buffalo Bills; he started 11 games in his career. He got his coaching start in NFL Europe in 2005, moved to the Bills' staff in 2006, and joined the Bucs in 2010.
