With star RB Adrian Peterson out indefinitely after tearing his ACL in a Week 16 loss to the Washington Redskins, the Minnesota Vikings have a huge opening in their backfield in their final game of the regular season. Most of the carries will go to back up Toby Gerhart, but two of the Vikings' young running backs— who may have been able to be tested today vs. the Chicago Bears— are listed as out for today's game.
Minnesota will also be without back up left tackle DeMarcus Love, a rookie sixth round pick out of Arkansas.
Here's the full inactive list for the Vikings:
- LB Xavier Adibi
- CB Chris Cook
- RB Caleb King
- OL DeMarcus Love
- TE Mickey Shuler
- DE D'Aundre Reed
- RB Jordan Todman
