Bears Sign Punter Adam Podlesh

Just 48 hours after the Bears announced they won’t be retaining veteran Punter Brad Maynard, they have already found his replacement. The Bears have agreed to terms with former Jacksonville Jaguars punter Adam Podlesh.

It has been reported that the deal will be for five years around $2 million per season which would put Podlesh in the top five salaries for punters.

The Maryland Terapin graduate averaged 43.8 yards per punt last season and has a career average of 42.6. Podlesh was a Pro Bowl alternate in 2010.
