NFL Power Rankings Week 16: FOXSports Drop Bears To No. 20

The Chicago Bears (7-7), winless since starting quarterback Jay Cutler went down with a broken thumb, have fallen not only out of serious playoff contention, but out of the graces of FOXSports' Brian Billick. His latest power ranking has the Bears slipping another two slots to No. 20:

20. Bears, 7-7: I don't mean to single out an individual player, but I am not so sure that QB Caleb Hanie could start on an Arena League team. Without Jay Cutler and Matt Forte on offense, this team doesn't stand a chance...  [The Bears] won't win another game without at least getting Cutler back.

Chicago still has two games remaining on their docket, facing the no-longer-undefeated Green Bay Packers (13-1) on Christmas Day and traveling to St. Paul to challenge the NFC North cellar-dwelling Minnesota Vikings (2-12).

It is still unclear who the Bears will start at quarterback on Sunday night, but they may start either Hanie or backup Josh McCown -- and some analysts are even calling for rookie QB Nathan Enderle.

NFL Power Rankings Week 16: ESPN Moves Bears Down To No. 21, Raises Lions To No. 9

Experts from around the web are reacting to what took place during Week 15 in the NFL, and the five-man ESPN panel has joined in by pushing the Chicago Bears down two spots to No. 21 overall. After losing Jay Cutler to a broken thumb the team has been trying to work with Caleb Hanie at quarterback, but the results have been terrible. John Clayton weighs in on dropping the Bears:

21. Chicago Bears (7-7, LW: 17) Lovie Smith isn't ready to announce a QB change, but be ready, Josh McCown. (Clayton)

As for the rest of the NFC North, the Green Bay Packers held firm at No. 1 despite falling to the Kansas City Chiefs, while the Detroit Lions hopped up two slots to No. 9 and the Minnesota Vikings stayed at No. 30.

Week 16 NFL Power Rankings: CBS Sports Drops Bears Down To No. 21, Hikes Lions To No. 9

SB Nation Chicago has been collecting NFL Power Rankings from around the web for Week 16, finding out what the experts think about the Chicago Bears' recent four-game skid, and Pete Prisco of CBS Sports is next up. The Jay Cutler injury has been the source of much frustration in Chicago, leaving the team a shell of the 7-3 squad that emerged from the action in Week 11, and none of this has been lost on Prisco. He dropped the Bears six spots to No. 21 and has this to say:

21. Chicago Bears (7-7, LW: 15) Without Jay Cutler, we knew they would have problems. But did anybody think it would be this bad?

As for the rest of the NFC North, the Green Bay Packers stayed entrenched at No. 1, the Detroit Lions moved up two spots to No. 9 after taking a firm hold on an NFC Wildcard spot, and the Minnesota Vikings were left sitting at No. 30 overall.
