The Chicago Bears announced on Monday that rookie safety Chris Conte has been placed on injured reserve because of a foot injury. Conte made nine starts and appeared in all 14 games for the team this season. With Conte and Johnny Knox sidelined by injury and Sam Hurd no longer on the team, Chicago had some roster spots to fill:
With Conte and Knox on IR and receiver Sam Hurd no longer on the team, the Bears promoted receiver , linebacker , and running back from the practice squad.
This weekend the Bears travel to Green Bay for a game they must win in order to preserve their slim playoff chances.
