The injury bug has bitten the Chicago Bears hard over the last three weeks, so much so that it now appears Lovie Smith's once 7-3 football team will be watching the playoffs from home, not competing in them. With parity so rampant in the NFL, every team has a tough time absorbing injuries. This was particularly true for a top-heavy Bears troupe even before Jay Cutler and Matt Forte suffered season-ending injuries.
The Bears look to end their three-game slide against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in their final home game of the season. If Chicago has any prayer at the postseason, they'll need a win. Wednesday's injury report listed defensive starters Henry Melton and Charles Tillman, neither of whom practiced on Wednesday. Here's a look at some of the notable names listed by Chicago:
Did Not Participate
DT Henry Melton - Shin
CB Charles Tillman - Knee
Limited Participation
S Major Wright - Shoulder
G Edwin Williams - Calf
