For as well as the Chicago Bears' defense played in the first half of their Monday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles, it would have registered as a major disappointment had the half ended in a tie at 10-10. That looked like it was going to be the case after Matt Forte fumbled and corner Brian Rolle took it in for a 22-yard Eagles touchdown. The Bears would catch a break, though, when Eagles receiver Desean Jackson fumbled a punt late in the quarter to give the Chicago the opportunity for another score.
The Bears would capitalize.
After a Philadelphia penalty extended the drive, backup Bears running back Marion Barber punched it in for a two-yard touchdown run. That's where we're at now: Bears 17, Eagles 10.
