Jay Cutler reportedly suffered an injury to his throwing hand during Sunday's game.

The Chicago Bears are on a roll and winners of five straight following Sunday's 31-20 defeat of the San Diego Chargers, but they may have gotten some bad news after the game. Fox Sports' Jay Glazer is reporting that quarterback Jay Cutler injured a hand against the Chargers and played through it:

Bears sources tell me Jay Cutler injured his thumb, undergoing further tests to see if broken. He finished game w it injured

Glazer added that he hasn't heard which hand it is. The Chicago Tribune's Vaughn McClure says he's been told by a source that Cutler suffered a broken thumb on his throwing hand. If McClure's report is accurate, it's a terrible development for a team that has emerged as a contender in the NFC.
