Previewing the key matchups to watch for on Friday night. The college hockey playoffs are right around the corner.
The college hockey season is winding down. With every team in the country battling for positioning in the polls, the 24 games scheduled for Friday, Feb. 24 should provide hockey fans everywhere with plenty of hard-hitting action.
Arguably the biggest matchup of the night will pit No. 1 Quinnipiac up against No. 13 Yale. With a record of 22-4-4, Quinnipiac has been near the top of the polls all season long. NBC Sports Network will televise this one, with the puck set to drop at 7:30 p.m. ET.
No. 2 Minnesota, which is the only other team to receive multiple first place votes this week, takes on Minnesota-Duluth at 8:05 p.m. This game will be televised on FSN+. No. 3 Miami heads to Lake Superior for a 7:35 p.m. matchup.
On the Big Ten Network, a couple of bitter rivals will take the ice as Michigan and Ohio State square off in Columbus. All of the action is set to begin at 6:35 p.m.
