Stay connected for news and updates

Rory McIlroy was the one who got hot on the final day of the 2012 BMW Championship, shooting five-under on his final round to win the tournament with a score of 20-under.

Phil Mickelson entered the day in a tie for the lead with Vijay Singh, but he couldn't keep up with McIlroy's play, finishing at 18-under par in a tie with Lee Westwood.

Singh fell off of the pace on the final day, shooting one-over par Sunday to finish the tournament in eighth place with a score of 15-under.

Bubba Watson had one of the best rounds of the day at seven-under, but it was too late for him to get back in contention. He finished at 12-under.
