Colts Vs. Bears Score Update: Chicago, Indianapolis Tied 7-7 After 1st Quarter

The Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts are tied 7-7 early in the second quarter of Sunday's season opener at Soldier Field. Quarterback Jay Cutler has performed miserably so far, but the team has survived with defense and solid rushing offense so far.

Cutler made an especially costly mistake early in the game, effectively handing the lead to the Colts by tossing an interception at the Bears' 3-yard line. Jerrell Freeman returned the pick untouched for a score, putting Indianapolis up by seven points just minutes into the game.

The Bears rebounded on their next possession, though, driving 80 yards over 11 plays to tie the game up. Matt Forte has been exceptional so far, rushing for 58 yards on just six carries, plus Michael Bush completed the game-tying drive with a one-yard touchdown run.

Given the high expectations placed on him this year, it's difficult to ignore how much Cutler has struggled so far. Beyond the interception, he's completed just 5-of-15 pass attempts for a paltry 47 yards.
