BMW Championship 2012: Vijay Singh Alone On Top After Second Round

Stay connected for news and updates

The second round of the BMW Championship is in the books, and Vijay Singh's score of 66 on Friday has vaulted him into sole possession of the lead at 13-under par.

Low numbers were being fired all day long at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind. Sitting at 12-under and a shot behind are Tiger Woods, Rory Mcilroy and Ryan Moore, while Lee Westwood and Bo Van Pelt are only two back from the lead at 11-under in what should be an exciting weekend in the third leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs.

University of Illinois alums Steve Stricker (3-under, 1-over for the round) and D.A. Points (1-over overall, 1-under for the day) are a few shots off the lead, while Northwestern University alum Luke Donald shot an even par round and remains at 6-under par. Illinois resident Mark Wilson finished the day at 4-over par.
