Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo gave his oft-criticized offensive line a vote of confidence Friday heading into Monday's matchup against the Chicago Bears.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo gave his much-beleaguered offensive line a vote of confidence Friday, ranking his assurance in the unit as a 10-out-of-10 heading into Monday night's game against the Chicago Bears, Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reported.

"I just think they're continuing to get better every week they play," Romo told Archer. "You're always going to have things you want to do better from a football game in general, but they're working hard and have had a great week of practice."

The Cowboys have started 2-1 despite an offense that is tied for last in the NFL. Romo has been sacked seven times this season and hit far more while playing behind an offensive line that leads the league in false start penalties. The Cowboys line will certainly be tested against a Bears defense that leads the NFL with 14 sacks.

Coming off a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where Romo was battered and Dallas ballcarriers were dropped for a loss eight times, Cowboys offensive line coach Bill Callahan criticized his unit earlier this week.

"I'm not going to sugarcoat this," he said, according to Tim McMahon of ESPN Dallas. "We did not play well, and we are not playing well right now."

Romo is coming off a 2011 season where he was sacked a career-high 36 times and has suffered past injuries to his rib, hand, collarbone and finger.
