Cubs Vs. Rockies Preview: Brooks Raley To Make Fourth Career Start

Stay connected for news and updates

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Brooks Raley will be looking on Saturday to further his bid to be part of the team's future when he takes the hill vs. the Colorado Rockies. Raley has made three starts this year (and in his career), posting an ERA of 7.63 and a WHIP of 1.57.

But most of that comes from his first career start, in which he gave up seven earned runs in four innings vs. the San Diego Padres. Since then, he's been a bit better. In two starts vs. the Cincinnati Reds, Raley has given up six earned runs in 11.1 innings, which is better even if it's not great.

The Cubs will be facing Rockies starter Alex White, who has pitched well in his last four starts. In those four starts, White has given up only six earned runs, though he has been handcuffed a bit by Colorado's 75-pitch cap on its starters.

Game date/time: Saturday, August 25, 12:05 p.m. CT

Location: Wrigley Field, Chicago, Ill.

TV: CSN
