Notre Dame Places 4 Players On Senior Bowl Watch List

Notre Dame safeties Zeke Motta and Jamoris Slaughter, tight end Tyler Eifert and linebacker Manti Te'o were named to the Senior Bowl Watch List, released Thursday by the Senior Bowl. This is the first time the Senior Bowl has officially released a preseason watch list.

Te'o, a preseason first-team All-American, had 128 tackles and 13.5 tackles for loss last season. He was a finalist for the Lott Trophy and Butkus Award last season and was a second-team All-American.

Eifert is also a preseason first-team All-American. He is second all-time among Notre Dame tight ends in both receptions and receiving yards.

Motta, who had 40 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery last season, has not missed a game during his Notre Dame career and is third among active players in career tackles.

Slaughter started 10 games last season with 45 tackles, one interception and two pass breakups. He's played at cornerback, safety and occasionally at linebacker during his Notre Dame career.
