Alfonso Soriano Trade Rumors: Cubs OF Still Won't Approve Trade To Giants, Per Report

Some in the Chicago Cubs front office are disappointed that outfielder Alfonso Soriano refuses to waive his no-trade clause to be sent to the San Francisco Giants, Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports.

Previous reports have stated that Soriano refused a trade to San Francisco before the trade deadline, so he's merely maintaining his stance here.

According to Cafardo, Soriano is concerned that playing home games in a colder climate will impact his hitting. The Giants have reportedly been looking for a bat since Melky Cabrera's suspension was announced, but Soriano continues to prefer the Windy City.

This season, the left fielder has hit .262/.321/.490 with 25 doubles and 22 homers over 446 plate appearances. It's a remarkably similar line to the .258/.322/.496 numbers he posted with Chicago two years ago.
