Up until Tuesday night, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose had used his Twitter account to root on Team USA in the Olympics and thank his fans for their support. But on Tuesday night, he tweeted something a bit more significant: his return to the basketball court.
The photo is strategically cropped so that Rose's knees are out of frame, but he looks healthy from the knees up as he prepares to shoot a standing shot. Rose is only four months off tearing his ACL against the Philadelphia 76ers, and it's highly unlikely that he has been cleared to do much of anything more than standing still and shooting the ball. But that is progress nonetheless.
