The Chicago Bulls have named Brian Hagen as their new Assistant General Manager, according to RealGM Basketball and multiple other major media outlets. He'll join general manager Gar Forman as the Bulls continue their quest to make a run at the NBA Championship.
"Brian is someone I have thought for quite a while is one of the best young scouts and executives in the league," said Bulls General Manager Gar Forman. "We are extremely pleased that he has decided to join the Chicago Bulls organization."
Before joining the Bulls, Hagen was with the New Orleans Hornets. Over nine seasons, he filled numerous roles, most recently serving as the Director of Player Personnel, where he oversaw the team's amateur and professional scouting. He also worked as a video coordinator, Director of Basketball Operations, Director of Scouting and Assistant to the General Manager.
Hagen is a native of Joice, Iowa. While attending Iowa State, he served as an Undergraduate Assistant from 1996-2000. He graduated in 2000 with a degree in Management Information Systems.
