Nose tackle Stephen Paea injured his ankle yesterday and is in now in a walking boot; Brian Urlacher still out

According to Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago, the Chicago Bears lost nose tackle Stephen Paea for one to two weeks Sunday, as he hurt his ankle toward the end of practice. Paea was seen wearing a protective walking boot Monday. The 2011 second-round pick looks to start for the Chicago Bears this year after compiling 20 tackles and two sacks in 11 games last season.

In other injury news via Windy City Gridiron, defensive tackle Bryan Price left Monday with a neck stinger. Price was acquired by the Bears over the offseason from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick. Linebacker Brian Urlacher is still out as he recovers from a sore knee. Despite concerns, Urlacher believes he will be ready Sept. 9 for the Week 1 match-up against the Indianapolis Colts.

Windy City Gridiron also reports that linebackers Dom DiCicco, Geno Hayes and Jabara Williams as well as guard Chilo Rachal also did not practice Monday. Due to the plethora of injuries to the linebacker position, J.T. Thomas has filled in with the first-team defense.
