Rain has paused Round 3 of the 2012 PGA Players Championship, and Illinois graduate Steve Stricker is likely more eager than the rest to get back on the course. Stricker, one of the few players to finish all 18 holes Saturday, has jumped 30 spots on the leaderboard to slide into a tie at No. 7 on the merit of 6 birdies and 1 bogey.
Meanwhile, Northwestern grad Luke Donald has tumbled to No. 65 with an 8-over. He managed 4 birdies, but also 4 bogeys and a crucial double-bogey on Hole 16.
