Tour de France 2012 Results: Luis-Leon Sanchez Takes The Stage, Bradley Wiggins Still Leading

Stage 14 of the 2012 Tour de France is in the books, and English rider Bradley Wiggins has maintained the yellow jersey for another day.

The 191 km stage spanned from Limoux to Foix was won by Luis-Leon Sanchez, finishing with a time of 4:50:29. The Spaniard was able to outlast Peter Sagan, who finished 47 seconds behind to place second on the day.

Wiggins, a member of Team Sky, finished the stage in 15th place with a time that was 18:15 off Sanchez's pace.

However, Wiggins did hold onto the overall lead for the seventh consecutive day, breaking the British record previously held by Chris Boardman.

According to The Telegraph, an odd occurrence took place during the stage. Tacks were actually thrown by a spectator onto the road, causing Wiggins to require a bike change. It's not often something of that nature occurs, although the Tour de France has seen some wild fan interactions with them being so close in proximity.

On Monday, Stage 15 will take the riders from Samatan to Pau before they receive a rest day on Tuesday.
