Wimbledon Scores And Results: Feliciano Lopez, Lucie Safarova Upset In 2nd Day Action

The 2012 Wimbledon matches are under way in London, and in the early matches of the second day, there have already been a number of upsets.

Feliciano Lopez (No. 14) fell in four sets to Jarkko Nieminem (No. 44). Lopez was not the only high-seeded player to fall out of the tournament early. On the women's side, Lucie Safarova (No. 22) fell to Kiki Bertens (No. 86) in a quick two sets (3-6, 0-6).

Elsewhere, No. 6 Serena Williams has coasted to a two-set victory over No. 62 Barbora Zahlavova Strycova (6-2, 6-4). No. 10 Mardy Fish also advanced through the second day, but not without a hotly contested showing from No. 82 Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo (7-6, 7-5, 7-6).
