On Tuesday, Illinois State introduced Dan Muller as the school's new head men's basketball coach. Muller replaces Tim Jankovich, who left for a job at Southern Methodist.
"I plan to have better memories by winning championships here," he said Tuesday afternoon at a news conference introducing him as the new head coach.
Muller, who will be paid $375,000 annually on a five-year contract, replaces Tim Jankovich, who resigned to accept an associate head coach position under Larry Brown at Southern Methodist.
Muller spent the last 12 seasons as an assistant at Vanderbilt, and as the Commodores' recruiting coordinator, he helped the school land several highly regarded high school recruits.
