Summit League Tournament 2012: Western Illinois Advances To Semifinals With 58-53 Win Over North Dakota State

Western Illinois kept its season alive with a 58-53 win over North Dakota State in the quarterfinal round of the 2012 Summit League Tournament on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Leathernecks will play top-seeded Oral Roberts on Monday at 6:00 p.m .CT

In Sunday's win, the Leathernecks shot 45.2% from the field compared to 39.1% for North Dakota St., which was crucial given that the Bison had edges in the turnover and rebounding categories. Obi Emegano led Western Illinois with 19 points on 6-11 shooting. Terell Parks recorded a double double for the Leathernecks with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
