DePaul Vs. Marquette Score Update: Blue Demons Lead 43-40 At Halftime

The DePaul Blue Demons want nothing more than to knock off their arch-rival No. 19 Marquette tonight at Allstate Arena, and through one half, they're off to a good start. The Blue Demons used hot shooting from three-point range and domination on the glass to exit the half with a 43-30 lead over the Golden Eagles.

DePaul was 18-of-37 from the field (48 percent) in the first half, while Marquette shot 15-of-29. The Blue Demons connected on four more three-pointers than the Golden Eagles, and currently hold a 21-8 edge in rebounding.

Forward Cleveland Melvin was dynamic offensively for DePaul, finishing with 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Jamee Crockett had 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists in the half. Charles McKinney has eight for DePaul.

Darius Johnson-Odom has 15 points on 4-for-9 shooting. Jamil Wilson has nine points and three rebounds for Marquette.
