2012 NHL Trade Deadline: Chicago Blackhawks Trade John Scott To New York Rangers

The Chicago Blackhawks (33-24-7, 73 pts) have reportedly traded defensemen John Scott to the New York Rangers:

With the recent acquisition of D Johnny Oduya, the Blackhawks had some latitude to work with on their defensive side. Scott had played 29 for the 'Hawks in the 2011-12 season, but mostly spent time in a reserve role, averaging only around 7:00 on ice per game.
