SB Nation's national recruiting analyst, Bud Elliott, says that Florida State's track program could prove a trump card in the quest for the speedster's services:

Darby is perhaps the second fastest recruit in this recruiting cycle. The fastest, of course, is Florida State's Marvin Bracy; an Olympic hopeful. Bracy heavily recrutied Darby during the Under Armour All-America Game, and persuaded him to visit Florida State. Florida State's track program is thought to be a major attraction to Darby. None of his other three finalists have an elite track program.

Darby is a 4-star recruit as rated by Rivals.com, and the No. 68 prospect in the class of 2012.
