Jabari Parker recruiting: Simeon star's father doesn't know where son will go

Mark Dolejs-US PRESSWIRE

The whole nation will know where Jabari Parker is headed to for college when the Simeon star announces his decision on Thursday, and that includes his father.

Jabari Parker, one of the top college basketball recruits this year, is set to announce where he will attend school and play basketball at as a freshman on Thursday. When he announces his decision it will be the first time anyone becomes informed of it, including his father, via Scott Powers of ESPN Chicago.

Parker is considering playing basketball at BYU, Duke, Florida, Michigan State or Stanford next year. All five of those programs are hopeful to reel in the Chicago Simeon Career Academy forward, but none is currently aware of which school he is leaning toward.

Also unaware, at least publicly, is Parker's father, who says he is also in the dark of his son's decision. "We know he'll make the right decision for him," he later added.

Jabari Parker will announce his decision on Wednesday in a press conference that will be televised on ESPNU at 3:00 p.m. CST.
