Mike DiNovo-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
Quarterback Jordan Lynch and the Huskies will try to reach 5-1 on the season this Saturday against Ball State.
In search of their fifth straight victory, the Northern Illinois Huskies will travel to Muncie, Indiana on Saturday afternoon for a conference game with the Ball State Cardinals.
Since dropping their opener by a mere one point to Iowa, 17-16, the Huskies have proceeded to take down Tennessee-Martin, Army, Kansas and Central Michigan in consecutive weeks. In a 31-point shellacking of the Chippewas last Saturday, an offense featuring quarterback Jordan Lynch rolled up exactly 622 yards in the blowout win.
A Chicago native, Lynch is now averaging 328.4 yards per game from scrimmage this season and is actually on pace to eclipse the 30-touchdown mark at some point in November. Against a Ball State team that is currently giving up 37.8 points per game, Lynch and company should have every opportunity to keep things going offensively when Saturday rolls around.
When: Saturday, Oct. 6
Where: Scheumann Stadium, Muncie, Indiana
Game time: 2 p.m. ET
TV channel: ESPN3
Spread: Northern Illinois +1
