The Notre Dame Fighting Irish trail BYU, 14-7, at halftime on Saturday.
We've got an upset alert going for No. 5 Notre Dame, as they trail the unranked BYU Cougars, 14-7, at halftime.
Jamaal Williams had a rush of 21 yards that set up the first BYU touchdown, a 6-yard pass from Riley Nelson to Cody Hoffman. On the following drive, Rees was intercepted by Kyle Van Noy at the Notre Dame 39-yard line, which set up another touchdown for the Cougars. Nelson went on to hit Kaneakua Friel for a 2-yard touchdown to put the game at 14-7.
Both quarterbacks have thrown interceptions, but BYU has been able to capitalize on their turnover. Nelson has thrown for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Rees has thrown for 86 yards and his touchdown. Rees has completed six of his 13 pass attempts on the day.
