Chicago Cubs tickets selling for less than $1

David Banks-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Baseball fans are actually paying less than $1 per ticket to attend the final three Cubs games of the season at Wrigley Field.

With the season drawing to a close and the Chicago Cubs once again set to miss the postseason, tickets for the team's final series against Houston have actually been selling for less than an dollar, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Chicago is set to square off against the Astros for Game 2 of the series on Tuesday night, in a game where fans can purchase tickets for as little as 96 cents. The Tribune also reports that prices for Wednesday's season finale have dropped all the way down to 50 cents on StubHub.com, which is unprecedented by Wrigley Field standards.

By losing Monday's opener, the Cubs joined the Astros as the second team in baseball with 100 losses, and are hardly giving fans anything to be excited about. While it's always going to be hard to draw people in for a game that pits two clubs that have lost a combined 206 games, these ridiculously low prices should at the very least give true Cubs fans a chance to see Wrigley Field for next to nothing.
