After declining to recruit various superstars to the Bulls over the years, Derrick Rose admitted during media day that Kirk Hinrich is the first player he's ever recruited to Chicago.

The superstar that's declined to recruit various other superstars to his team over the years, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, admitted during the team's media day on Monday that Kirk Hinrich is the first player he's ever recruited to Chicago, according to Aggrey Sam of CSN Chicago.

After spending last year in Atlanta, Hinrich is arguably the Bulls' biggest signing from an utterly lackluster offseason that included the jettison of numerous core players. Bringing back the team's old starting point guard to keep the role warm in Rose's absence is clearly a move that the Bulls' franchise player is in favor of, though.

Splitting time between point guard and shooting guard last season, Hinrich averaged 6.6 points per game and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 41 percent from the field. It's been a long time since the 31-year-old has been an efficient player, but the Bulls apparently believe his veteran presence will benefit their backcourt.
