Despite representing the NFC in the 2012 Super Bowl, the New York Giants only had two players selected to the conference's roster for the 2012 Pro Bowl. One was QB Eli Manning, and the other was DE Jason Pierre-Paul, who will now be replaced by Chicago Bears DE Julius Peppers, thanks to the Giants having to tend to more important matters in Indianapolis.
For Peppers, it will be the seventh Pro Bowl selection of his career, and fourth in a row. Peppers led the Bears in sacks this year with 11, which was his personal fourth highest total in his ten year career. His final sack of the year, which came in the finale against the Minnesota Vikings, was the 100th of his career, which is good for 27th of all-time, and fourth amongst active players.
