White Sox Look To Rebound After Difficult Loss

The great thing about baseball is that there is always tomorrow. With a game just about everyday, you don't have much time to think about the previous game and what went good or bad the night before. The White Sox should be much appreciative they get to play again today and forget about how Friday's game ended.

John Danks will take the ball for the Sox (31-35) in Saturday's game. Danks is coming off his best start and only win of the season when he beat the Mariners on Monday allowing one unearned run in seven and a third innings pitched.  Danks faced Oakland in early April going eight innings allowing just run. He didn't figure in the decision as the Sox bullpen gave up six runs and fell to the A's 7-4.

Oakland (28-37) comes into Saturday's game winning just one of their last ten and are in last-place in the AL West. One area you can't blame is their pitching staff.  Oakland leads the American League with a team ERA of 3.35.

A big reason for Oakland's pitching success is Saturday's starter Gio Gonzalez. Gonzalez is 5-4 on the season with an ERA of just 2.62. The lefty hasn't had much success against the White Sox, who have traded him twice. Gonzalez has faced the Sox four times and is 0-3 with an ERA of 6.45.

The forecast in Chicago at the time of first pitch is partly sunny skies with temps in the mid-60's. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:10 CST. The game can be seen on WGN.
