2011 NFL Mock Draft: Bears Will Have Plenty Of First Round Options

Stay connected for news and updates

Todd McShay of ESPN just came out with a new Mock Draft that is a little bit more unique and comprehensive than the typical Mock you'll find on the Internet. He doesn't just lay out one pick for each team, he provides three different options for each pick in the First Round. It includes some intriguing options for the Bears.

The first is to stay put at No. 29 and select Baylor offensive lineman Danny Watkins. I'm not sure he would be the most exciting pick in the first round, but he's a solid player and could really help the Bears at guard.

The second option is to trade out of the first round, which he claims the Bears would like to do. This would allow them to target a few players in the second round. He lists Pittsburgh WR Jonathan Baldwin, North Carolina LB Bruce Carter and Villanova lineman Ben Ijalana as potential prospects in this situation.

The third is to stay put at No. 29 and address a need other than offensive line. He suggests taking North Carolina DT Marvin Austin, who could take over for Tommie Harris in the middle.
