Northern Illinois will face Arkansas St. in the GoDaddy.com Bowl
Northern Illinois, which closed out the season on an eight-game winning streak, including a 23-20 victory over Ohio in the Mid-American Conference title game, will face Sun Belt champion Arkansas St. in the GoDaddy.com Bowl Game.
The GoDaddy.com bowl, which was formerly known as the GMAC bowl, has seen some unforgettable moments over the years. One of the most thrilling college football games in the past 10 years was played at this bowl, when Byron Leftwich led Marshall to a 30-point comeback victory over East Carolina. The Thundering Herd won this classic game 64-61 in double OT.
Last season, Miami (OH) capped off an impressive season with a 35-21 victory over Middle Tennessee St. The Red Hawks won the game despite losing head coach Mike Haywood to Pittsburgh before the game.
