Chicago Bears Pro Bowl Update: LB Lance Briggs Named To Seventh Straight Pro Bowl

Stay connected for news and updates

According to Lance Briggs, Lance Briggs has been voted into his seventh straight NFL Pro Bowl. Briggs posted this message on his Facebook page earlier today:

Want to thank the fans, my peers, and the coaches for voting me to my 7th straight pro bowl. Truly is a blessing.

Briggs leads the Bears with 100 tackles to go along with one interception on the season. Those 100 tackles are also good for 13th in the NFC. In a season that has turned disappointing for the Bears, Briggs was one of the bedrocks of an outstanding defense that is likely to have a few more stalwarts picked to go to Hawaii.

The full Pro Bowl rosters for both the AFC and NFC— as well as alternates— will be announced tonight at 6 p.m. on NFL Network.

For more on the Pro Bowl, keep it glued to SB Nation. Windy City Gridiron will have you covered on all things Chicago Bears.
