A noted recruiting analyst calls NU’s 2011 recruiting class the best in 10 years:
Recruiting analyst Tom Lemming repeatedly used the word “outstanding” to describe the recruiting class that Northwestern’s Pat Fitzgerald is putting together.
Lemming said Northwestern got a huge boost from its appearance in the Outback Bowl and that prep stars are also attracted to the “young and energetic” Fitzgerald and the school’s strong academics.
Fitzgerald has put together a fine team that should contend again for the Big Ten title this fall. That’s good news for NU fans, who finally seem to have a coach who will be there for the long haul.
